Originally released as “Stream of Consciousness,” and the only large- format piece from Cirkus Diurnus available as a 12” x 12” archival paper, unframed print. Written in one sitting, I just let myself clear my head on the thoughts of the day at that very moment. In a way, it was inspired by an observation I made regarding journalist Edward R. Murrow in that “words cannot describe.”
In the premier of Cirkus Diurnus, the oldest piece in the show was this entry from Journal No. 3. Observations that just had to be captured, these were noted on Christmas Eve in and around New York City.

In all my years of keeping journals, dreams have eluded the capture. Even during the late 1980’s when I literally had several dream catchers hanging in my apartment, and the “thing to do” was journal your dreams. They can be quite telling, so about twenty years later, I wrote this one down. It was that vivid.

More commonly referred to simply as “Pal’s,” this is one of the most popular pieces from the show Cirkus Diurnus. Brought back many memories for some, brought others to tears. To me, this journal entry just brings me back to that special place. Friends will come and go, but a true Pal, well, that’s a different story.
