Oenotes

I began taking multi-sensorial notes about each and every wine I drank in 2001. To date, I’ve noted over 3,000 wines. The Wine Journals contain all of my tasting notes in numerical order, wine labels, signatures of noted wine figures, and an occasional drawing of a wine-related landscape. For the show, I’ve included a full-page entry of a specific tasting, a spread from a journal that incorporates some Italian wine tasting notes and a pencil rendering of Firenze drawn on location in May 2017. Oenotes features the premier of CorkPrints - my prints from the original stamps made from red wine corks when they are first pulled from their bottle. Wet with their wine, like thumbprints and DNA, no two are ever alike.
