A pair of spreads in actual size from the journal they were transcribed in. These were the notes that had to be captured following my first trip to India which included a visit to the Taj Mahal. Need I say more? On the right-hand page, there’s a small poem I called “Business As Usual,” just for good measure.

This journal entry is one of the few pieces from Cirkus Diurnus that bridges two Acts, as it has an “Oenote” and CorkPrint on the same page as the creative thinking behind a poem I wrote while flying home from San Francisco. The poem is titled “Precita Eyes,” and the piece is often referred to as such.

“MAXE Changes” was drawn and written on a flight home from Atlanta. It was a week before my 54th birthday and I was feeling it. It’s when I’m feeling it that it needs to be written down. Oddly enough, this entry became a sort of letter to myself in real time. I even signed it when I was done.
